Book Review: “Confessions of a Prayer Slacker” by Diane Moody

Confessions of a Prayer SlackerConfessions of a Prayer Slacker by Diane Moody
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Overall, it was an enjoyable, encouraging read. I didn’t gain any great, new insights, but I felt a little more “normal.”

I appreciated her visual of imagining Jesus sitting in a particular chair, in a particular room, with coffee in hand in the morning, waiting for me. That one simple thing has actually helped me realize that, even though I’m struggling, Jesus really does just want to be with me. It reminded me that my relationship with him is far more important than anything I do.

I would recommend it to any new believer, or someone wondering how to go about spending time with Jesus when you haven’t really done that much, if at all. It’s an encouraging, light read, with an uplifting tone.
